Who we are and what this policy covers
NOT ANOTHER APP BUILDER PTY. LTD. (ABN 92 699 954 071) trades as Not Another App Builder (NAAB). We treat NAAB as an APP entity and manage personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy applies to notanotherappbuilder.com, project and product enquiries, and direct communications with NAAB. It does not replace the privacy policy for a NAAB product account.
Personal information we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- your name, business, email address, project type and enquiry message;
- communications, relationship history and records of proposals or work discussed with you;
- website and device information such as pages and routes viewed, referrer, approximate country, browser, device type, operating system and performance measurements;
- technical, security and diagnostic information such as request timestamps, IP addresses in infrastructure logs, URLs, error details and stack traces; and
- other information you choose to provide.
Please do not send passwords or sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and we have agreed on an appropriate way to receive it.
How we collect information
We collect information directly when you submit the enquiry form, email us or otherwise communicate with us. We also collect technical information automatically from your browser, device and hosting requests, and may receive information from service providers acting for us.
Providing enquiry information is optional. If you do not provide usable contact details and enough context to understand the enquiry, we may not be able to assess it or respond.
Why we collect, use and disclose it
We collect, use and disclose information where reasonably necessary to:
- assess and respond to enquiries, prepare proposals and manage business relationships;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and our communications;
- understand aggregate website use and real-world performance;
- detect abuse, fraud, security incidents and technical failures;
- maintain appropriate business, legal and accounting records; and
- comply with law, enforce our rights or respond to lawful requests.
We may also use or disclose information for a related purpose you would reasonably expect, with your consent, or where Australian law otherwise permits or requires it.
Service providers and other disclosures
We may disclose or make information available to:
- Vercel, which provides hosting, infrastructure, Vercel Web Analytics, Speed Insights and OpenTelemetry services;
- Sentry, which provides error monitoring, diagnostic logging and tracing. Our current configuration excludes user information and HTTP request bodies, although technical error context may still be processed;
- approved email, enquiry, communications and other cloud service providers;
- professional advisers, insurers and contractors who need the information to assist us;
- a purchaser or successor if our business or assets are restructured or transferred; and
- regulators, courts, law enforcement or other persons where permitted or required by law.
Vercel describes its Web Analytics and Speed Insights products as anonymous and cookieless. We do not sell personal information.
Overseas processing
Some service providers and their subprocessors process or store information outside Australia. Likely locations include the United States and other countries in which those providers operate.
Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply to an overseas disclosure, we take reasonable steps in the circumstances to ensure the recipient handles the information consistently with those principles, subject to applicable exceptions. Overseas recipients may also be required to disclose information under the laws of their country.
Direct marketing
We may use your contact details to send relevant information about NAAB products or services where you have consented or Australian law otherwise permits it. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe method in a message or by emailing us. We will action the request within a reasonable period and will not charge you to opt out.
Storage, security and retention
Information may be held in access-controlled cloud, email, monitoring and business systems. We use technical and organisational safeguards that are reasonable for the nature of the information, including access controls, service-provider review, software maintenance and operational monitoring. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, to meet legal or accounting requirements, or to manage a claim or dispute. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to have it destroyed or de-identified, subject to lawful retention requirements and practical limits applying to backups.
We maintain processes for responding to suspected data breaches and will make notifications under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where required.
Access and correction
You may ask to access personal information we hold about you or have inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading information corrected. Email hello@notanotherappbuilder.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line and enough detail for us to locate the information.
We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days. We do not charge for making a request. If the law permits a reasonable access cost, we will explain it before proceeding. If we refuse a request, we will provide reasons and available complaint options where required.
Privacy complaints
Send a complaint to hello@notanotherappbuilder.com with “Privacy complaint” in the subject line and describe what happened, the information involved and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge the complaint, investigate it fairly and aim to respond within 30 days where practicable.
If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. The OAIC will generally expect you to raise the matter with us first.
Product privacy and external websites
Crewzon, Forge Joinery and other NAAB products have or may have their own privacy policies because product accounts involve different data and services. Those policies apply to the relevant product.
External websites linked from this site are responsible for their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information to them.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our practices, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
